Meet Dr. Madelein Shafferman
The path that led me to become a naturopathic physician began while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree and I became ill. I saw 13 different doctors over a 6 month period. None could provide me with any answers to explain my symptoms. Finally, I went to an integrative doctor who changed my entire world. He had me feeling better within a few short weeks and I was able to resume my studies. I knew then and there, I had to find something else because going into a standard medical school was not enough for me. Luckily I found naturopathic medicine and I have never been more thankful! I am now equipped with the tools to find and treat the cause and not merely your symptoms.
I am passionate about working with you on an individual basis to provide you with the best possible care. I hope to not only become part of your health team, but I also aspire to provide you with education so you can take an active role in making decisions about your health. I am dedicated to treating the whole person and not just your symptoms.
I look forward to hearing about your health journey so together we can identify and treat the cause of your ailment. I want to serve as both your doctor and a resource to answer your questions. Knowing you as an individual will provide me with the information needed to help create a plan tailored to you and your needs so your body can do the rest.
When I am not delving deep into my patient’s history to find the root cause of symptoms, I spend my free-time exploring the depths of nature. I love hiking, camping, rock climbing and finding small-town treasures across the country. I am so thankful to call myself a naturopathic doctor and I can’t wait to help you reach your health goals.
